Born in Fulda (Germany) and grown up in Rosenheim (Germany), I studied Biology at the LMU of Munich where I started to work on bats
in the group of PD Dr. Lutz Wiegrebe at the Department for Neurobiology in 2004.
For my diploma thesis, I trained leaf-nosed bats (Phyllostomus discolor) to crawl in a maze towards an active loudspeaker
in order to investigate the absolute hearing thresholds of this species.
In November 2006 I have started my work as technical assistant for bats and shrews in the new established group
for Sensory Ecology headed by Björn Siemers.
