Personal Information
I am an electronic technician and electrical engineer. I started working in science in 2001, when I first worked for the
Institute of Meteorology and Climate research(IMK-ASF) in Karlsruhe. There, I worked for the MIPAS-aircraft group and the
ground based FTIR group, where we measured data to validate the Michelson Interferometer which was launched aboard the
ENVISAT-satellite in March 2002. From 2003 to 2005 I worked for the FTIR group to test and validate the equipment from an
infrared spectrometer in operational environment. This work involved functional end-to-end testing of the remote control
both in Kiruna and Tenerife Island. In the year 2005 I worked at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine research
in Bremerhaven, (at the Biological Oceanography section). The objective of this project was an Expedition ANT XXIII/2 to
Antarctica with the Icebreaker "Polarstern". After this, I did a probation on the National Institute for
Environmental Studies in Tsukuba, Japan.
Since August 2006 I am a member of Prof. Dr. B. Kempenaers group in Seewiesen.
