Personal Information
I was born and grew up in Munich, Germany. From 2001 to 2006 I studied Biology at the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich. During my main study period I focused on Genetics, Ecology, Neurobiology, Human genetics and Zoology. In my diploma thesis I studied population genetics and colony structure of an exceptionally dense population of a native ant species. Before I started my PhD in the "Behavioural Ecology and Evolutionary Genetics" group at the MPIO in 2007 I worked at the University of Otago, New Zealand as a field assistant.
